My newest and more popular (according to Google) bans type website is coming along nicely.  I am paying very little for advertising and now have the site on the front page for ironman collectibles, which is always nice.

I wanted to update on how well the site was doing with a quick post about the traffic and $$.  Let’s start with the advertising part first.

Bidvertiser Ads

My bidvertiser text ad was simple and I paid only $8.82 in July for clicks to my site.

ProjectWonderful Ads

For my 300×250 ad campaign was placed on about 25 sites at a total cost to me of $4.40 for ONE week clicks.

That is the only advertising that I did for my CollectIronman website.  I don’t think it was all that much considering I made a total of $78.54!  Minus the $10 domain name, advertising and I have a profit of $55.32 for my first month.  It is a step in the right direction.

Traffic Stats from July 11th (start of website)

According to Google Analytics, my IronMan website was visited 638 times for 1,223 pageviews with an average bounce rate of 68.97%.

I noticed the traffic pick up right at the end of the month, so I checked my site index on Google and noticed the placement at #6 for IronMan Collectibles!  That was nice!  I am not sure how long the site will stay there since I no that Google is not a fan of these types of sites, but we’ll ride it out however long we can.

Search engine traffic accounted for just under 500 visits, which is nice, because they are picking my site up.  The referral traffic was small and should be for such a new site.  Only 85 visits from 39 sources and most of those are via ads placed for the site.  And of course the smallest, direct traffic, was only 64 visits.

I suspect all of those stats to go up in time, the site is only one month old right now.  In the meantime, I have purchased BANS and will be implementing the system into other domains that I own.

Thanks Matt. I have been trying to get my sites to at least show up in Google just for the search traffic. This was my first. I would like to work a bit on the template, but for now I think the content pages are more important.

Right, just need a few links for it. Maybe exchange with other similar comic sites etc

The design already looks good =)

Yeah, that is on the “list” of things to do with a bans related site. Too many from A to Z though LOL.
