A lot of people like to use Stumbleupon.com to get some traffic to their blogs. If you haven’t done this yet, write a good post and have someone else (that’s the key here) submit the post. What happens next will most likely blow your mind.
As you can see from the image below, the steep mountain of traffic for a couple of days came from a well timed out Stumble.

Obviously, I was quite excited and I really have never seen this much traffic at one time from SU. So, I went to the website and checked the category this post was put into. In this case, it was Consumer Info and because I had so many “stumbles” for that post, it was on the main page. From there the traffic just soared.
The bad news, you can see how it fell back to normal in just about no time flat. That is pretty bad in terms of gaining readership, but the initial spike is nice. When you are about to get a post stumbled, always think about ways to monetize the traffic that will flow in.
In just over 2 days, that post saw over 12,000 views. How did I monetize that traffic? Well, at this moment I still am, so once it is all done I will take a look at the stats and report back for you.
Have you ever had a successful stumble for your blog?
