I am a regular reader of Carlocab.com and in today’s email updates he mentions books that he purchased.  I thought I would do that same for my readers, as I think it was a very good thing to mention.

First, you have to find a good place to buy the books.  I think everyone in the whole world is quite familiar with Amazon.com and their selection.  So, I think I will troll their categories and mention a couple of books that I have purchased, ones that I feel have helped me out a bit.

The first book that I would like to mention is Freakonomics. This book isn’t solely about marketing, it’s more about economics. But if you read the book, I read it cover to cover in about a week, you will see other examples of how just about everything effects economics, in everyday life.

The other book that I feel helped me out quite a bit was called How to Use the Internet to Advertise, Promote and Market Your Business or Website with Little or No Money. This book is a little more straight forward and to the point. There isn’t a lot of thinking, just read the book and apply to just about any situation, blog, website, business idea, etc.  Both of these books have helped me out in the beginning.  There maybe others that other bloggers will promote or mention, but these 2 really helped me.

If you are a beginner, I think getting these two books would be a good start.  If you buy the two together you will most likely get a discount and the shipping at Amazon.com is so reasonable it really is a no brainer.
