20 years ago there was a ton of “handymen”.  Men that could do just a little bit of everything, without being all that good at any of them.  These types of people might also be known as “Jack of all trades, master of none“.  But when you see a contractor vehicle these days, you see are most likely going to see the name of a niche on the side.

Joe’s Plumbing, TJ’s Roofing Company, Rob’s Flooring Service or even AAA Lawn Care.  All of those companies are made up of a bunch of men that can do many things, but realized they can make more money by focusing on ONE niche area.

Affiliate Money

This is the reason that you might see 10 different companies in the local yellow pages that will mow your lawn.  How can each one of them get any business?  With that much competition you would think they would barely make any money at all

Since I have been into marketing on the internet, I have noticed just about every type of marketing online and offline.  Local niches is part of that.  Each pick up truck or van that goes by with a company name or logo on it is marketing in their niche.  Think about the ways those companies market their services and try to apply them to your blog or website.

When you are trying to marketing an affiliate program or offer, remember the niche and place your ads or promotions creatively.  Make sense?  If people aren’t looking for cell ringtones, your ringtone affiliate advertisement isn’t going to do you any good.

Keep these things in mind when applying marketing techniques to your blog or website.

The key to making money on the internet is finding that niche hole and running into it, think napster, ebay, twitter. All of these sites do something that no one else was doing… and they’ve made a boatload off of it.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I think that once people realize they need to drill down into a niche, they can start to see the $$$ roll in.
