In the past 4 months I have been reading and reading and reading other blogs on the internet.  The ones that I find interesting, or helpful, I leave comments on.  The latest one being InternetBabel.com.  Others include BlogAboutYourBlog.com and Shoemoney.com.  Some people don’t like to get into the conversation via the comments section and would rather just email the author of the blog.  Well, I think that most people understand the worthiness of putting your name, email, website on a comment form.  Whether or not your link will be tracked, at least it’s a link that others can click if they find your comment relevant to the topic.

Eventually, those bloggers will notice that you have made quite an effort on their blog and maybe even leave a comment on your blog.  Nick Sullivan on InternetBabel.com, commented on my blog after he noticed that I was commenting on just about every single post that he made.  Now, you can just spam your comments all over the place to get noticed.  You should only comment when the time is right and the topic/comment is relevant.  If you want authority you are going to have to prove yourself first.
