100 referralIf you are trying to make money in the “affiliate game“, you shouldn’t forget about ONE key factor.  Referrals. 

Referrals are just as important to obtain as getting ads in the right location on your blog.  If you advertise that you can make money, post about how you make money or show screenshots of your earnings, you know that referrals are a huge part of making money online.

Currently I have been getting referrals for NeverBlueAds.com and Bidvertiser.com.  If you don’t know, NeverBlueAds.com is an affiliate CPA (cost-per-action) network and Bidvertiser.com is a contextual advertising network.  Both of them have referral programs and getting referrals is a good way to make extra money with NO work, once you have the referrals of course.

If you don’t know what a referral is, let me tell you.  Basically, and in short, a referral is a user that you have “referred” to a program through a link that was provided to you.  When a user clicks through your link AND signs up, there are considered your referral.

Now, there are many different ways you can get paid for referrals.  TLA pays out a one time $25 PER referral that signs up.  Neverblueads.com pays $2 per lead or 2% for life.  Bidvertiser.com pays out when the publisher or advertiser reaches a specific amount earned or spent.  Adtoll.com will payout is:

  • 20% commission on profit made from Advertisers (90 day period); and
  • 10% commission on profit made from Publishers (365 day period).

    • I currently have 1 Bidvertiser.com referral, 3 Neverblueads.com referrals and ZERO for Adtoll.com.  I have been spending the last 2 weeks or so working on just getting referrals. 

    So, you can clearly see that each referral program is set up a little different.  That doesn’t mean that it isn’t an essential part of getting referrals on your account.  Just imagine having over 50 referrals at 2% each per month.  Or even if you could bank 10 publishers at Adtoll.com and get 10% of what they make for a year!  That can be some serious money for you and for little actual work.

    By promoting these websites, people get to learn about them and see that they actually work.  Show your results and people are more likely to say “wow, I guess that program does work, I’ll give it a try”.  You will have referrals in no time, but remember that it takes a little time to get them.  You will not get active referrals right away, you have to give, give and give some information before you get to reap the rewards of an active referral in any program.

      Ive got a bunch of bidvertiser referrals but none have made me money.

      With neverblueads ive made about $12 from referrals.

      However, with pepperjam im at about $65

      I have had very little success with affiliate referrals. When you say you have spent two weeks just working on getting referrals, could you explain further what techniques you are using to do that?

      Good work on that Matt. It’s nice extra money if anything. I don’t really think that Bidvertiser has a very good program, but it’s better than nothing at all I guess.

      Yeah it’s too bad with bidvertiser. Its hard to go up against google.

      I’m lovin’ pepperjam, just gotta find some good programs other than pepperjam to promote. Getting clicks but no conversions
